Ars et Flora resumes its journey

As with seeds, each project needs its time to mature. Ars et Flora too.

Since 2020, when a group of artists and professionals decided that art could be a real tool to give visibility to plants in danger of extinction in Catalonia, we have learned a lot. We have created 55 original, available, delicate, charming watercolors, reflecting different perspectives on the plants that surround us.

We have built a knowledge base on the threatened flora of our territory. And we have also learned that a project of this kind needs solid preparation to really move forward.

That is why we stopped. Not to abandon, but to do things well.

Now we are resuming the project with a different perspective: clearer, more realistic and with the foundations we needed to move forward. The goal remains the same — to publish an artistic book that highlights Catalonia’s threatened plant heritage — but the path to get there is now much better defined.

If you haven’t subscribed yet and want to stay up to date on how the project is progressing, now is the time.

The plants we are about to lose cannot wait indefinitely. Neither can we.
